Select the Course Length that best represents how the school issues final grades (one final grade, semester grades, trimester grades, etc.).
When entering course credit values, enter the value exactly as it appears on your high school transcript. If the default credit value differs from what appears on your transcript, change it to reflect what is on your high school transcript. If a course is in progress please record the credit that you expect to earn. Do not change the field to zero.
If your transcript does not show credits/units for a course, do not change the value shown when completing the SRAR.
Full Year
If your transcript shows one final official grade for a year-long course, please select “Full Year” for the Course Length and record the final grade.
If a course is one semester long, but is the equivalent of a year-long course select "Full Year" to record the final grade.
Semester
A semester system divides the academic year into two sessions: fall and spring.
If your transcript only shows final official grades by semester, please select “Semester” for the Course Length to record each semester grade.
One Semester
If a course is one semester long, please record the final grade in the semester in which the course was completed and leave the other semester field blank.
If a course is one semester long, but is the equivalent of a year-long course select "Full Year" to record the final grade.
Both Semester Grades and Final Grades
If your transcript shows final official grades by semester and a full year grade, you may select “Full Year” to record the final grade. You do not need to record the semester grades.
Trimester
A trimester system divides the academic year into three sessions: fall, winter, and spring.
If your transcript only shows final grades for each trimester, and no final year end grade for a year-long course, please select “Trimester” for the Course Length and record the final grade for each trimester.
If a course is one trimester long, select “Trimester” for the Course Length and record the final grade in the trimester in which the course was completed. Leave the other trimester fields blank.
If a course is two trimesters long, select “Trimester” for the Course Length and record the final grades in the trimesters in which the course was completed. Leave the remaining trimester field blank.
If you completed a course in 2 of 3 trimesters and each trimester is equivalent to a semester choose "Semester" to record each grade.
Both trimester grades and final grades: If your transcript shows final official grades by trimester, and a final full year grade, please select “Full Year” and record the final grade. You do not need to record the trimester grades.
Quarterly
A quarter system divides the academic year into four quarters; meaning four grades are awarded for a full year class. Selecting "Quarterly" allows you to enter a final grade for one, multiple, or all quarters.
If your transcript shows final grades for each quarter, and no final year end grade for a year-long course, please select “Quarterly” for the Course Length and record the final grade for each quarter.
If a course is one quarter long, select “Quarterly” for the Course Length and record the final grade in the quarter in which the course was completed. Leave the other quarter fields blank.
If a course is two quarters long, and you received a final official grade for each quarter, select “Quarterly” for the Course Length and record the final grades in the quarters in which the course was completed. Leave the remaining quarter fields blank.
If you received one final grade for two quarters, please select “Semester” to record the final grade.
