If the system detects that you have more than one year of in-progress coursework, it usually means there is an "IP" grade listed under your 9th, 10th, or 11th grade coursework. Please note that "IP" courses can only be listed with your 12th grade coursework. To troubleshoot this error message, please follow the steps below.
Tip! 💡If you're graduating high school in three years, learn how to enter your coursework to avoid this error message.
- Go to the Review/Submit page.
- Carefully review the "Grade" column for every year of coursework that you have included on your SRAR or SSAR, starting from your 9th grade coursework. If there is an "IP" course listed under 9th, 10th, or 11th grade, return to the "Enter Coursework" page.
Tip! 💡Press "Ctrl+F" on your keyboard (or "Command+F" on a Mac) to bring up a search box in the top right corner of the screen. You can then type in "IP" to highlight all instances of "IP" on the page. - To edit or move the in-progress course, go to the academic year it is listed under. For demo purposes, I will click on "Edit Coursework for 11th grade"
- Select the in-progress course from your list of coursework.
Important Note: ⚠️ If you have received a final grade for the course, but mistakenly entered it as "IP", please click on the "Edit" icon to update your record with the final grade earned.
- Click "Move Selected Courses"
- Select your 12th grade year and click Move Courses.
Tip! 💡If you don't see "2023-2024 (12th grade)" as an option, it's possible that your dates of attendance were not entered correctly. To fix this, go back to the "Enter High School" page and confirm that your dates of attendance include all four years of high school and that your "To" date reflects your graduation date. For example, if you're graduating in June 2024, enter "06/2024" as your "To" date.
